What is coaching? What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

Therapy focuses on your past and its traumas & problems while coaching focuses on the present & future and is solution-oriented. Therapy answers the question “Why am I struggling?”.

On the other hand, coaching has a present and a future focus and helps you find answers to the question “How can I get unstuck in my current situation and reach my full potential?”.

I am also not here to tell you what to do! I really care about coaching in a way that keeps the power in your hands so that you can find your self trust and grow it beyond our work together.

The main purpose is to be a thinking partner for you to explore + facilitate your own creativity + answers so that you can build your self-trust and self confidence, and take your next step

However, a key similarity between therapy and coaching is that both are rooted in trust, active listening, compassion, and non-judgment!

What makes you different from other coaches?

My coaching sessions are fully tailored to what you need! When I coach you, I believe YOU have all the answers within yourself. My role is to lead you to them and help you turn them into concrete actions to change your life.

Do you work online or face-to-face? Where are you located?

The coaching sessions can take place online or/and in person, depending on your preference. I am based in Amsterdam and I happy to meet you with you.

I’m always happy to meet my clients in person before, during or after our work together. Don’t hesitate to message me if you’re around.

In which language do you coach?

I coach in both Romanian and English. My website is all in English and the materials/resources I provide will be in English only.

How do we measure success?

Worry not - our coaching sessions are very streamlined, personalized, and tailored to your needs to ensure you achieve your goals by the end of our time together!

There is a huge emphasis in our first couple of sessions on understanding your situation, clarifying your goals for your coaching journey, and diving deeper into your self and circumstances.

Each session is geared towards those goals. We will do regular check-ins to ensure we’re getting there, or we assess if those goals should be updated.

Of course, we will keep track of your progress, because that is one of my core roles as your coach! I’m your accountability partner, and I will frequently check in with you on your commitment and make sure your progress is in the right direction.

If you ever feel resistance or barriers pop up during your coaching journey, rest assured that we will discuss those gently, and I will provide effective tools and techniques to help you move through that and continue onward with your progress.
